Welcome to my website and the first of many blogs I hope to annoy you all with in the coming months and years. As 2025 marks my tenth anniversary of being a published author and ten years of DCI Matilda Darke, I thought I would celebrate by having my very own website. Yay! I am becoming increasingly disillusioned with social media and I’m hoping to use it less and less so thought a website would be a way to keep in contact with you all and inform you of everything I’m up to as I plot and create my latest books.
As I said, 2025 is a big anniversary and I, along with my publishers, have plans to mark the event at various times throughout the year, particularly in the autumn with the launch of the thirteenth book in the Matilda Darke series. I’ll keep you all informed when plans are drawn-up. I’m assuming they’ll be street parties and a fly-by by the Red Arrows, maybe even some kind of commemorative statue.
In the meantime, I’m currently writing the third Dr Olivia Winter thriller which is due for publication in the spring of 2026. After that, it’s back to Matilda Darke and the fourteenth book (how did that happen?!). I’m also working on a top-secret project that I’m not allowed to tell anyone about. It’s so secret, even I don’t fully know what it is. Exciting times ahead.
